Thank you for your submission!! Your request has been time-stamped and we will begin processing the requests in the order they were received. Our admin team will start making phone calls at 9:30am tomorrow morning to fill spaces. If you receive and accept a space, you will then receive a confirmation email with all the information. Deadlines for fees and paperwork will be outlined in the email. Any missed deadlines will result in us giving that space to the next child on the list.

Full Day Summer Camp Information!

 

We are so excited to be planning for SUMMER here at CDS!! Our summer program is full of fun and we would love for your child to join us!! We will begin accepting registration for our full day Summer Camp program starting tomorrow! This is for children heading to kindergarten through 8th grade. All of our spaces are first come, first serve and spaces are limited.

 We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 6pm. We offer a two-day (Tuesday and Thursday), three-day (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), and five-day option. Our campers enjoy a field trip every day and all field trip fees are included in your weekly tuition! Some examples of field trips offered are Jungle Rapids Water Park, movies, parks, pools, bowling, splash pad, museums, and more!!! While at Coastal Day School, campers will enjoy fun activities such as group games, crazy water activities, sports, crafts, and tons more!!! We love seeing sweet friendships form and getting to see campers enjoy all the activities our awesome staff plans!

If you are interested in registering your child for our full day summer camp, please click this link for registration information. You are free to pick any weeks you want, as well as pick the number of days you'd like each week (two-day option is Tuesday and Thursday, three-day option is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and we also have a five-day option-we do not offer a daily option in the summer.) We do not have a minimum on the number of weeks your child attends and you only pay for the weeks you register for!! Please keep in mind that once you have turned in a registration form, we cannot make changes to the dates you've registered for, and you will be required to pay for the dates reserved, regardless of attendance. We provide a quality program with a low student/teacher ratio and awesome field trips that usually require prepayment (we've actually already paid for some of them), so when we hold a space for a child, it is important that we receive payment for that space in order to continue providing all the fun activities we do daily. We feel badly when plans change and parents are still expected to pay for the weeks they have reserved, but please understand that we cannot make any exceptions to this policy in order to be able to keep our camp open and functioning. If multiple parents ask each week to make changes to what they have reserved, it would severely affect our ability to continue to operate as it is very difficult to fill spaces last minute when parents have already made other plans for their children once our program is full. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support in this area. We know that it can be a struggle when funds are tight so please make sure to only reserve weeks you know you will need. 

We really hope your child(ren) will be joining us for a fun-filled summer here at CDS! We are excited to see our returning campers and meet new families and provide them with a safe and exciting summer camp. I know how scary it can be sending your child off to camp, especially on field trips, but our staff takes our campers' safety very seriously and we work diligently to ensure your child is well taken care of. Our staff has been trained to obsessively count campers (I mean really OBSESSIVELY-we count in our sleep during the summer-true story 😆) and monitor their group very closely. We are so grateful for such an amazing staff that truly loves our campers! Enrollment Information for March 1st

THANK YOU to all the families that came out to our Open House last night! We loved getting to meet you all and sharing a little about our program. If you were unable to make it, here is the information we handed out: 

Thank you for your interest in our school! We are looking forward to partnering with you and your family! Below is a step-by-step guide on how to enroll your child in our preschool or kindergarten programs which will start September 2022. This process is the only way for new students to enroll.

 

1.     Visit our blog (tab can be found on the top right of our website) to view the Pre-Enrollment Information post. In this post you will find a link. Please fill out the link prior to March 1^st. 

2.     Come back to our blog on March 1^st at 7pm to find the link for our Enrollment Request From. These submissions are time stamped and we will process enrollment in the order they were received. If you’d like a space, it is best to fill it out right at 7pm.

3.     Our Admin team will begin processing enrollment as soon as we can. You will receive a call from us by Friday, March 4^th. If you have not heard from us by then, please reach out. Prior to March 4^th, our office staff will not be able to answer questions about your place in line. You will need to wait for a call from our Admin team. It is a lengthy process, and we move as fast as we can, so please be patient with us. 

4.     If you receive a space, your next step will be to submit paperwork and the New Student Fee. All this information will be outlined in a confirmation email you will receive after we call you. 

5.     All deadlines will be listed in the confirmation emails. If you miss a deadline, your space will be given to the next child on the list. No exceptions will be made for any reason.

6.     If your child does not receive a space, they will automatically be placed on our waiting list. 

When we open enrollment to new families on March 1, 2022 at 7pm, we will have the following number of spaces available:

If you would like a five-day space, a three-day and two-day space can be combined if available. 

 

These spaces are first come, first serve and will be given in the order that the time-stamped Enrollment Request Forms are received. 

 

Once your child is enrolled, you are guaranteed a space in the following years and you will receive early enrollment for younger siblings.  

When you come back here on March 1st at 7pm, the link will take you to a very short Google Form. Here's what it looks like:

*Make sure you have a Google account prior to March 1st. If you do not have one, it will make you set one up before you can complete the form which will take time. A great way to check if you have one is to fill out our Pre-Enrollment Information form *here*.

On Wednesday, March 2nd, we will begin calling families to offer spaces based on the time-stamped requests. We will do our best to contact everyone by the end of the day Wednesday, but it could take us until Thursday to complete the list. If you have not heard from us by Friday, March 4th, please call us. Our office staff answering phones on Wednesday and Thursday will not be able to tell you where you are on the list, you will need to wait to receive a call from our Admin team.

Enrollment for New Families

 We are excitedly preparing for the Open House here at Coastal on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:30 to 7:30pm! This evening is for adults only to come out and tour our facility and meet our staff before we open enrollment to new families on March 1st at 7pm. We will post the Enrollment Request link right here on our blog at 7pm. This form is just a request and does not guarantee enrollment. It is a quick form and all submissions will be timestamped. Our admin staff then reaches out to each family in the order the submissions are received to fill spaces or place children on our waiting list once all spaces are filled. This takes time so it may take a day or two for us to get in touch with you. 

In the meantime, please use this *link* to give us some information about you and your children so we can move quickly enrollment week.

Enrollment Information

It has been a looong time since I've updated our blog. It seems like the last almost two years have been a blur, flying by at times, yet creeping along at other times. An endless cycle of stress, anxiety, and worry, followed by brief times of relief and rest, all to just repeat again. We never imagined that we would still be in this cycle, but here we are (thanks a lot Omicron). I know many people have suffered, in many different ways, through this pandemic, and while we have certainly had our fair share of struggles, we are grateful for the ongoing love and support of this amazing CDS family. We are grateful we've only had to experience a few cases within our school, and for the most part, we have been able to live in our safe little bubble. This year, we were able to safely bring back festivals and fun that we have been missing so very much! Our students have been able to have fun with friends while learning so much. Our staff has been able to enjoy staff outings and events again. So while we aren't in the clear, and things feel especially crazy right now, we are grateful for the forward motions, small wins, and the amazing people we are surrounded with daily. 

Planning and preparing for the following school year seems to come faster and faster each year. It's true what they say...the days are long but the years are short. I feel like the older I get, the time just seems to be flying by. I can't believe how quickly our sweet students are growing and that they will be moving on to the next classroom so soon. If only life had a pause button. 

But time doesn't stop moving and we are excited to continue to watch all the growth and learning that takes place within our walls each year. We can't wait to welcome new families in and hopefully see some of our previous families return with younger siblings!!

If your family has attended Coastal in the past, and would like to return for the 2022-2023 school year (yay!) that starts in September 2022, we have a special enrollment time for you! As long as one child in your family has completed an entire preschool or kindergarten year with us, you can enroll February 1-4, 2022. If your family is brand new to Coastal Day School, we are SO excited to introduce you to everyone and show you around! We will be having an Open House for you to come see our facility and meet our staff!! Join us on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. This evening is for adults only and it's a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have! We will have information on Open Enrollment that evening, which will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 7pm. We will also post that information here as it gets closer! 

I am thankful for the blessing that Coastal Day School has been in my life for the last 15 years and can't wait to see what next year brings!!
