Open Enrollment Begins Today!

Good Morning!! 

We are so excited to open enrollment today for new families to join our preschool and kindergarten program which starts September 7, 2021. To submit a request for enrollment, please click here! 

If you are still reading...stop and fill out the form via the link before continuing!! Submissions are time stamped and spaces will be filled in the order received. 

As a reminder, by completing this form, you are not guaranteed a space. This is simply a request to enroll.

We will begin calling families as soon as possible to notify you of your enrollment status. If your child receives a space, instructions will be emailed to you for how to proceed with the process and confirm your child's space. Deadlines for paperwork and the new student fee will be outlined in the email as well. If you miss a deadline, your space will be given to the next child on the list. No exceptions will be made. Emails have ended up in spam folders in the past so make sure to check there also. 

If your child does not receive a space, they will automatically be placed on our waiting list. Don't give up hope if you are added to the waiting list! We have seen it move dramatically in the past due to changing family situations, moves, etc. It's still possible to receive a space before school starts or even after our school year has begun.  

We will be working hard to process all the enrollment requests we receive but it is a time consuming task and may take us a few days to complete. Our office staff answering calls will not be able to confirm if you received a space or not. Every person that submits our enrollment form will receive a call from us by Friday, March 19, 2021. If you have not received a call from us by then, please contact us.

2021-2022 Registration Information

We are so excited to meet new families tomorrow evening at our Open House! If you have not registered to attend, and would like to, you can sign up for a time slot via this [link]. This is a great opportunity to meet our staff, tour our facility, and ask any questions you may have. This is an adults only event and everyone in attendance must wear a mask, practice social distancing, and wash their hands and have their temperature taken upon entrance. 

We will be opening registration for new families on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 8am. We highly suggest you submit your information right at 8am. The link for the registration form will be posted right here on our blog! The form will simply ask for one parent's name, email address, and phone number (a picture example of the form is shown below). We will begin calling families as soon as we can. We know it’s hard, but please refrain from calling to find out where you are on the list. Without information from every family (children's ages/number of days if they have not filled out the registration information form ahead of time), we will not be able to determine where you are on the list. Filling out the form online does not guarantee a space in our program. All spaces are first come, first serve and we will go in the order the submissions came in. Any child that does not receive a space in our program will be placed on our waiting list. Our hope is to get in touch with everyone by March 18th, but it is a time consuming process, so please be patient with us as we tackle the list. Please make sure you double check the phone number you've entered on the form before submitting it. Things like an incorrect phone number or a full voicemail box could prevent you from receiving a space. If you miss the call from us, please return the call as soon as possible. We will have many names to get through and will need to move on to the next person quickly. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hours, we will need to move on to the next person on the list.

 If you receive a space, all deadlines will be listed in your confirmation email (check your spam folder as our emails go there often). If you miss a deadline, your space will be given to the next child on the list. No exceptions will be made for any reason.

Open House Information

 If you’re new to Coastal Day School, and are interested in enrolling your child for the 2021-2022 school year, which starts in September 2021, we invite you to join us at our Open House! This is a great opportunity to tour our facility, meet our staff, and ask any questions you may have. Due to covid restrictions, we are only allowing adults to attend this time and you must register for a time slot to keep the number of people in each classroom to a minimum. Each group will be welcome to stay for thirty minutes. Please use the link below to register for a time slot. If there is not an available slot, please contact us. If you have multiple children, please pick the time slot for the oldest child.

Participants must wear a mask, wash their hands upon arrival, and complete a temperature screening. Please do not attend if you have been exposed in the last 14 days, are awaiting results, or are feeling unwell in any way.

Enrollment Time!!!

Whew! We made it to 2021! What a year it has been!!!! Running a business during a pandemic has been tough to say the least. The last nine months have taught us a lot! Adapting and getting creative, sanitizing like our lives depend on it, and constant stress over finances are now our daily routine. It's hard to go from thriving to simply trying to survive. But, we are still here! We still have goals and dreams! And most importantly, we still have the sweetest little students that bring us so much joy each and every day!!! They haven't changed. They still have the best giggles, the biggest hugs, and the funniest stories!! They have helped us feel like life is normal here at Coastal Day School and we are so grateful!! 

We are looking forward to our school year becoming more and more normal, especially next school year! If your family previously attended Coastal Day School for an entire academic year and would like to return (yay! so exciting!!), we will have a special enrollment time for your family starting February 15, 2021. If you are a new family wishing to enroll here at CDS for the 2021-2022 school year, which starts September 2021, we will open enrollment in March. We are working on a plan for a staggered Open House for you to come tour our facility and meet our team. We will be posting more information regarding that, and enrollment for new students, by March 1st!  

We are so thankful to be planning another school year! What an honor it is to become part of so many families here in Leland as we partner together to teach and love our sweet students. We really do have the most amazing families and staff that encourages, supports, and loves us so well. More fun times to come!!!
